Genealogy and the Irish Tribe

So, my other hobby is genealogy. I started searching for my paternal Grandfather about 25 years ago – before Ancestry.com. Think old school – pens and papers and microfilm. I thought he’d be easy to find because his name was unusual – Orban Taylor. I was wrong.

It took me about 23 years to find him. Once I did, I found out that he died in 1935. No one ever knew what happened to him and now we do. This line goes back to the 1600s in the USA.

The ones I am now in search of are my Irish ancestors. I am trying to find out where in Ireland they’re from. It’s not easy. So, on that note – any Calligans out there? How about Callaghans? lol

Someday.

In the meantime, how about some beads!
